The Purpose Fund Terms & Conditions for members

By joining The Purpose Fund and contributing to our collective giving efforts, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
1. Membership & contributions
Members agree to make a minimum annual contribution of AUD$100, which is pooled with contributions from other members.
All contributions are non-refundable and are used to support selected charities, grow a long-term corpus,

100% of member fees are distributed to selected organisations and initiatives based on a member-led grants process where each member has equal voting rights (1 member = 1 vote).
All grantees must meet this eligibility criteria.
3. Code of conduct
As a member of The Purpose Fund, you are part of a community built on trust, generosity, and shared purpose. To maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for all members, we ask that you agree to the following:
Respect & integrity
Treat all members, charities, and communities we engage with dignity and respect.
Embrace a spirit of collaboration and active listening, even when perspectives differ.
Honour your commitments and communicate openly if circumstances change.
Inclusivity & diversity
Foster a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, religion, ability, socioeconomic background, or lived experience.
Be mindful of language, assumptions, and behaviour that may exclude or harm others.
Actively support the inclusion of voices from communities impacted by the issues we seek to address.
Confidentiality
Respect the privacy of members and organisations we support. Do not share personal or sensitive information without consent.
Discussions within The Purpose Fund (including grant deliberations or personal reflections) should remain confidential unless otherwise agreed upon.
Safe participation
Any form of harassment, discrimination, bullying, or intimidation within the membership community will not be tolerated.
Do not attend events or participate in group spaces under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol, or behave in a way that puts others at risk.
If you feel unsafe or witness concerning behaviour, we encourage you to report it confidentially to the organising team.
Any behaviour deemed discriminatory, harmful, or disruptive may result in removal from the circle.
Conflicts of interest
In the spirit of transparency, be open about any personal, financial, or professional connections to organisations being considered for funding.
If a conflict arises, members may be asked to step back from parts of the decision-making process.
Responsible representation
Members may not use The Purpose Fund name or brand for personal promotion or to represent the group in public forums without prior approval.
Any fundraising, media, or partnership activity done under the banner of The Purpose Fund must align with our mission and be approved by the relevant committee.
4. Privacy policy
We collect and store limited personal information (e.g., name, email, contribution details) solely for the purpose of administering the Fund.
We will never sell or share your information without your consent.

5. Changes to terms
The Purpose Fund may update these Terms & Conditions as the giving circle evolves. Members will be notified of any material changes via email and/or our main communication platform.
